Now accepting new clients. Reach out today!
People often come to therapy to try to understand something: something about themselves, their relationships, or their past experiences. I enjoy joining my clients in these moments of exploration with warmth, attunement, and collaboration. I specialize in working with people with marginalized gender and sexual identities and experiences, including queer, trans, polyamorous, and kinky folks. I work with individuals ages 14 and older.
I'm a psychodynamic therapist, which means I am interested in exploring your underlying needs and desires. I'm interested in making space for all parts of you, including the parts that may feel “bad,” shameful, or wrong. Bringing awareness to these parts of oneself can be deeply healing as it strengthens self-compassion and acceptance, while better understanding one's own patterns and instincts.
As a trained social worker, I understand that individuals are deeply impacted by intersecting systems of oppression. I support clients in navigating oppressive systems and experiences in their everyday lives, as well as in their personal and ancestral pasts. As many marginalized communities have been (and continue to be) disenfranchised and mistreated by the mental health field, I am committed to addressing power dynamics in the therapy room and working toward more just and equitable methods of change. Many of my clients have had adverse experiences with past providers, and I strive to build trusting relationships as conduits for healing.
If you have ever felt like an outsider because of your identities, past experiences, sensitivity, gifts, or because of how you live in this world, you deserve a space that is dedicated to your healing and growth.
I look forward to working with you!
